Destiny Dallas RV Resort

We are currently staying here for the second time. When we checked in we were given a site in the front of the park right next to the interstate. Very noisy and windy. We are planning on being here for a month. The park has many pull thru shady spots but we were told nothing else was available. when we protested about being put out front we were told take it or leave it. There are several empty spots throughout the park. This park is occupied with mostly permanent residents and many keep their sites very cluttered. The park itself is neat and well kept. We are dissappointed by the staff at the front desk and the feel of the park. It is not a resort by any means. next time we will find somewhere else to stay.

RE: overnight in stop at through way rest stop?

If you choose to overnight in a rest stop it is better to keep a low profile and be respectful of others by keeping your slides in.

Had problem with main slide but resolved it

Just wanted to share with others a post I made under Tech Issues. We could not retract our big slide. It was drifting to one side.
After opening the underbelly of the fiver, we found that it was a sheared bolt. We replaced it and now it is working fine.

RE: Main slideout not retracting

We cannot manually retract the slide because we have power. The problem is the main slide is drifting when we retract it. We partially removed a panel of the underbelly and cannot feel any obstruction or sheared pins. We tried hooking the trailer to the truck and moving it slightly forward and then back. No luck. We just want to get the slide in so we can take it for service.

RE: Main slideout not retracting

Thank you MELM for your reply. We will look at the system closer tomorrow.
Any of you ever had to bring the slide in on manual aux. power? It ecplains how to do it in the Lippert manual. I assume we turn the hydraulic off on all 3 slides ( with the two others in retracted position) and then to manually bring in the main slide. Any info would help.

Main slideout not retracting

Sure could use some help. Today we were preparing to leave when we went to retract the slides, the main slideout would not come in properly. One side was working but the side closest to the door would not retract. We noticed there is a small amount of fluid on the carpet. Do we have a leaking cylinder on one side? We tried loosening the bolts and manually pushing it in and that did not help.
The ATF fluid is low in the reservoir. Should the slides be completely retracted when we fill it? If we manually bring this slide in and travel and then manually bring it out again at the next park, would that be okay. We haven't attempted to do this. The slides have power, it is all in this one end of the main slide. It is now fully out. Any ideas would be appreciated. We can't get service today so we are staying here until we get this problem figured out.

Has anyone stayed at this park? If so, How are the sites? We have a 35 ft. 5th wheel. We will be staying there for 2 months so we wanted to get an idea of the accessibility and what to expect.

Right Turn Signal not working

I could use some help. We are currently traveling. When we left a campground this morning the lights were working. when we arrived at another campground we noticed the rt. brake light was not working when we backed the trailer in to the site. also the rt. turn signal is not working. when we turn the truck and trailer lights on the right light works. the truck lights are okay. we tried changing the bulb in the right one. That wasn't the problem. we checked the fuse box under the hood. okay.
any suggestions?
